Wisconsin Impressions at Carroll University

February 1st –  February 28th

About the Show

This exhibition features prints by artist Corrigan Eckert. Corrigan uses various techniques and media including printmaking, found natural objects, and cut paper installations. Her art practice includes mindful walking, natural object gathering, and nature writing. These modalities allow her to reflect on her experience of the natural world and create works that encourage conversations about stewardship and conservation. Corrigan’s eclectic process serves to inspire her growing body of work about the Midwestern landscape.

This exhibition also showcases prints from Carroll University’s permanent Wisconsin Artist Collection. The WI Artist Collection is one of only a few permanent collections in the state to feature work of WI artists. The collection began in 1981, is comprised of over 600 pieces of art in all media and is installed throughout campus. Wisconsin Impressions at Carroll will feature for the first time a selection of Carroll’s outstanding prints.

The Wisconsin Artist Collection: Our Mission

The Wisconsin Artist Collection seeks to use art to educate, inspire, foster creative thinking, as well as promote social and cultural appreciation. The collection showcases prominent Wisconsin artists whose work brings our shared past to life and sharpens our view of present society, culture, and environment.
